Members of the Alveridge Steam Locomotion Club are holding their annual general meeting in the back room of the Whale and Trout tonight at 7.30pm.
Guest speaker is Ronald Anorak with the evergreen subject of “Railway tracks, is there a wrong side?”
Members will recognise the topic as it has been addressed at every club meeting for the last 30 years.
However this year Mr Anorak will pose a tantalising new question entitled; “Does the track really go round in one big loop, or does it arrive somewhere eventually?”
He is expected to make an appeal for funds to lead an exhibition along the tracks and answer his question.
Everybody is welcomed, though nobody is actually expected as the idea is completely preposterous.
